Teams
The Lincolnshire Bombers currently run two sides that compete in the British American Football League (BAFL); a senior side (18+) and an under-16s that can cater for ages as low as 13-years-old.
All our American Football sides are mixed sex so women can compete in the BAFL. At present we have no dedicated women’s team but with enough interest from players we are always open to building the club and entering the league.
Rookie Open Days
Our rookie open days are the perfect way for new players to the sport to learn about the game and how to play it, plus what positions are best suited to you without needing any experience or kit related to American Football.
You can register your interest in our rookie open days during the off-season by using the form below, or dropping us a message on any of our socials. If you're thinking of joining us then join our Prospective Players Facebook Group, here you'll receive the latest news, hear from the coaches and be able to ask any questions about the open days, getting kit or joining the team.

info
American Football Training
We train every Sunday morning (when there’s no gameday) at Memorial Hall (Newark Road, North Hykeham, LN69RY) from 10:00 – 12:30. The first session of the season officially starts in the first weekend of January and all sessions are open to attendees.
How much does American Football cost?
To sign up to play matches for the Bombers you'll need to pay a single subscription fee to cover the entire season which can be broken down into smaller payments on request. Fees for the upcoming 2024 season are still to be announced, but previously they have been;
£200 - Senior Team (Local)
£125 - Senior Team (Distance Players)
£90 - Academy Team (under-16s)
Players will also need to register with the British American Football Association before they can play in games for insurance purposes.
How old do I need to be?
For the senior side you need to be over 18-years-old but there is no upper limit on the age. For the youth teams you need to be over 13-years-old before you are allowed to participate in full contact.
When is the season?
The British American Football season runs at the alternate side of the year from the NFL. Our pre-season will begin in January with any pre-season games likely to take place around March time. The league fixtures will then run between April and August depending on scheduling with the play-offs extending the season if successful.
